7:30 am
We will pick you up from your Arequipa hotel between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m. Then, we will board our private vehicle to the Colca Canyon. We will be traveling through Pampa Cañahuas, located in the Aguada Blanca National Reserve. You will spot herds of vicuñas, llamas, and alpacas along the route.
During this first segment of the trip, we will stop at the viewpoints of Mirador de los Andes and Chivay. From those places, you will be able to appreciate the incredible scenery of the Colca Canyon.
We will arrive at Chivay town around 1:00 pm. After having lunch there, our staff will take you to your accommodation. Then, you will have the rest of the afternoon to visit the nearby hot springs as an optional activity. If you do not want to visit the hot springs, you can explore Chivay town and its beautiful traditional streets.
After having dinner, you will go to a traditional show. Then, you will return to your accommodation to spend the night.
We will wake up early in the morning to have breakfast. Around 6:00 am, we will leave Chivay to visit the famous Cruz del Condor viewpoint. From there, you will be able to see the magnificent flight of the Andean condors during the sunrise. Also, this spot is perfect for admiring the incredible geography of the Colca Canyon. After enjoying the flight of the condors, we will have lunch at a local restaurant.
