Our full day guide tour will start very early in the morning. We will pick you up between 3:00 and 3:30 am from your hotel in Arequipa. Then, we will drive in our private bus to the town of Chivay, where we will purchase the Colca Canyon entrance ticket. From there, we will go directly to the traditional village of Achoma, where we will have breakfast before heading to Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint.
We will stay at Cruz del Condor for around 1 hour, where we will admire the breathtaking flight of the condors. We will also appreciate the great depth of the Colca Canyon. Then, we will visit the mysterious Lagoons of Antahuilque on our way to the Coquetico hanging tombs. After exploring Choquetico, we will go to Maca town, where we will visit the church of Santa Ana de Maca.
Afterwards, we will proceed to Yanque, where we will arrive around 11:00 a.m. We will spend around an hour there. You will have the chance to bathe in the famous Yanque hot springs. This is an optional activity. Following that, we will return to Chivay town to have a buffet lunch. The lunch is not included in the tour price.
After lunch, we will return to Arequipa city. On our way back, we will stop at Patapampa viewpoint, located at 4910 meters (16108 feet) above sea level. From Patapampa we will be able to spot three different volcanoes: Hualcahualca, Sabancaya, and Ampato.
