The islands of Lake Titicaca are among the most visited tourist destinations in Peru. One of the most famous places of Lake Titicaca are the Uros floating islands. These artificial islands are made of totora reed, an aquatic plant that grows in the lake’s water.
Puno is considered the center of Peruvian folklore, and no site emphasizes this more than the island of Taquile. Taquile’s secluded position on the Peruvian side of Lake Titicaca has allowed its inhabitants to maintain their customs without too much external influence. Taquile is also famous for its complex weaving designs.
Amantani Island is one of the top tourist destinations for getting away from the hustle and bustle of cities and daily life. The island is one of the biggest in Lake Titicaca. It is located at 4000 meters (13123 feet) above sea level. One of the key features of Amantani is the Pachatata Ceremonial Center.
On this 2-day tour, we will explore the Uros, Amantani, and Taquile Islands. This tour is one of the best options to explore the incredible region of Puno in a short period of time.
