During this half day bike tour of Maras Moray, you will explore two of the most beautiful places of the Sacred Valley. You will be driving our brand new bikes through the sinuous Andean roads to Moray and the Maras Salt Mines. This trek is perfect for nature lovers and bike enthusiasts.
The Moray archeological site will be the first place we will visit during our cycling tour. This place has numerous circular terraces located at different levels. The temperature slightly rises in the lower terraces. For this reason, some historians propose that Moray was used to grow plants from warm climates.
Afterwards, we will visit the picturesque Maras Salt Mines. This place is located near the small town of Maras, an Andean village situated among the Andes mountains. The salt mines of Maras comprise thousands of small water ponds. From these ponds, the pink salt is gathered once the water evaporates after being exposed for hours to the sunlight.
This tour combines bike rides through the peaceful Andean roads with professional guided tours. During this unique tour, you will experience the beautiful views of the Sacred Valley on your way to the Maras Salt Mines and Moray.

Your hotel in Cusco city
8:30 am
We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at 8:30 am. Then, we will board our private vehicle to Cruz Pata town. Once there, our staff will give a short security briefing about the road and how to properly use the mountain bikes. Then, we will start our mountain biking tour.
We will be biking through the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. After biking for some time, we will arrive at the beautiful Huaypo Lagoon. We will stop here to take a short break and appreciate the stunning scenery.
Afterwards, we will arrive at the Moray archeological site. Like most of the Inca sites of the Sacred Valley, you will need to purchase a tourist ticket to enter Moray. Once inside the complex, you will have a guided tour of the ancient Inca terraces. You will learn about the history and theories of the possible uses of Moray.
Then, we will go to the Maras Salt Mines. You will need to purchase an additional ticket to enter Maras. After passing the security checkpoints, we will explore the numerous pink salt ponds scattered around Maras. Next, we will visit the nearby Maras town, where you will have the chance to buy some souvenirs.
Finally, we will return to Cruz Pata town, where we will leave our mountain bikes. Afterwards, we will board our private vehicle to return to Cusco city. We will be arriving there around 2:00 pm.
